The Facebook Group debacle was an idea from Anthony Farrer, who wanted to raise money to build a $2,000,000 The Timepiece Gentleman store in Dallas, through crowdfunding from their fans. In order to raise the funds he created a private Facebook group that cost $2,000 to join. Members would allegedly be given opportunities to purchase watches at discounted rates. Allegedly 146 people paid a collective $292,000 to join the group. == Use of Funds == The purpose of this venture was to raise money to build a new store. One of the primary focuses of this new store was the aquarium they wanted to purchase. This hypothetical aquarium became the focus of many episodes that followed them around to visit new potential locations. == Member Benefits == The member benefits ranged from having your name on a plaque in the new store, to many other ideas. None materialized since the store never opened. == Outcome == The group didn't manage to make any of the promises come true and Anthony was forced to stop taking new members, since current members were complaining. Eventually, Farrer had to pay members back and close it down. == Video == https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVZg0Zgmnhc
